So we arrived in Wichita and Phil's mom Amy was amazing and drove back to Kville with us, then to Wichita, to help us move it all, packing and unpacking and driving a vehicle. It was so awesome to have her and have someone in our family see a bit of our life! We also had John and Audrey Thurman show up to help us unload...what a blessing that was- John is in Phil's class and was studying for boards but still took an hour..or two =)...to help get stuff off the truck. It was a hot day...and I was pretty dumb and forgot to call all the utilities to have them turned on before we moved in! So...no a/c for 2 1/2 days, and a stay in a hotel the first night. Gotta laugh about it or I would've cried! We are enjoying our new house and neighborhood, Andover- a suburb east of Wichita- but wow, cities have lots of traffic, lots of driving, everything is far--- that is my biggest adjustment! But the YMCA and the kids' school is only 3 blocks away, so we are thrilled about that!
