Pediatrics

Phil finished his 7th rotation, Pediatrics. It was okay for him, nothing special. Pretty quiet which was surprising for January- usually it is a pretty sick month for kids, as those of us who are parents know! It was mostly inpatient, so he'd care for kids who were admitted to the hospital. He would go to clinic one afternoon a week. He was on call one night per week, so 5 pm to noon the next day. He had SUPER rapport with the residents and attendings he worked with. His normal work hours were 7-5. Overall, a nice and easy month with a handful of interesting cases but really good lectures. Definitely new Peds wasn't for him.
